Early years

Harshad was born in the small village of Paneli Moti in Gujarat state, but soon their family moved to the suburbs of Mumbai, where his father opened a textile business. Harshad sold women’s tights, cement and diamonds. While working in the office, he became interested in the stock market and soon decided to try himself as a broker. But in history, Harshad is known as a fraud and a swindler. He forged stamped paper, bank receipts, securities. This continued until 27 criminal charges were brought against him, for which he was sentenced to 47 years. The swindler died in 2001 while the investigation was underway.

There were 29 luxury cars in the swindler’s fleet. All the wealth was inherited by his wife and son, but in 2009, part of the property had to be given to the bank to pay off debts.
